Pay attention to what you pay attention to. It’s a good sign of where to point your ship.
What you pay attention to is what you’ll enjoy spending time on, and ideally you choose to spend your days doing things you enjoy doing.
Now, it’s reasonable to point out that your passion doesn’t owe you an income. It’s not guaranteed, and you might need to find a day job to support the focus of your attention.
But you also might find that following your attention leads you down a path that does end up in a career – even one that might surprise you. Or you might find that it leads you to a fulfilling hobby that makes the hours at work fly by. Or it might lead you to the conclusion that you need to tack away and follow a different attention.
Regardless, pay attention to what you pay attention to. It’s good information.
