One-on-one studio work is as easy as 1,2,3. I think of my production role as having three important pieces.
- Frequent praise. So they know they’re doing all right.
- Actionable feedback. So they know what they can do better.
- Zoom-out perspective. So they understand how what they’re doing fits into the wider context.
Praise, feedback, and perspective. These are essential in the studio but they’re also the three components of a successful rehearsal.
