Every time I add student participation in planning and leadership, I’m glad I did.
Now, these have to be well-considered participation. I certainly understand that I have training, experience, and context that they don’t have. But with mentorship and communication, my students’ experience is enriched, my students’ ownership is expanded, and my students’ learning is enhanced.
