Train Your Spidey Sense

We can’t all get bit by radioactive spiders…so we have to train our “Spidey Sense” instead.

Spiderman’s “Spidey Sense” was really just heightened awareness of things going on around him.

Awareness.

We can all do better at being aware of what all is happening around us. And that awareness is essential to great ensemble singing. Awareness is a prerequisite to blend, balance, tuning, phrasing, sense of ensemble.

The only way we get better is by practice, and the only way we know to practice is by knowing this skill is available and desirable.

So challenge your students to develop their “Spidey Senses” so they, too, can know more of what’s going on around them.
