A friend of mine is reinventing a big project. Here’s what I want him to think about.
Start with values. What about the current version of the project is a core value? What is absolutely essential, what is nice but not crucial, and what doesn’t contribute to your values?
We can only honor a few core values successfully, and every decision we make should be in support of those values. How you define them can completely change how you create a concert, an experience, any project at all.
Of course you want to get started on the project. But until you clearly define your values, you won’t be able to get very far on the project. At least, not successfully.
