Sometimes I have a detailed plan for rehearsal. A route to follow.
Other times I don’t have a route, just a really good sense of the map. I know the terrain, I know where I want to get to, and I spend rehearsal heading in that direction.
There’s nothing wrong with either approach; indeed, both have their place in the director’s arsenal.
