Is it better to play up or play down the first day?
Of course there are all sorts of celebrations on the first day. Pics on the front porch, happy reunions of friends and choirs, the joy of discovery.
But in the end, it’s just the first of many days. The important thing, to me, is to put together a whole bunch of good days rather than one incredible one. Consistency is key. As such, treating the first day as just one of a much larger string of good days could be key.
I don’t know. It’s a day worth celebrating and it’s a day not to give too much weight to.
