How soon after you finish the school year is too soon to miss music-making?
I’m exhausted from an incredibly intense school year, and to be honest, I’m not done yet – I’m still spending time in the studio every week with my students! Even so, I’m already missing working on music with my students.
I have two takeaways from this knowledge.
- It’s the growth that I miss most. Tackling new repertoire and seeing my students grow.
- I’m in the right place. The work you miss is the work you should lean into.
Teachers, what are you missing now that you’re a couple weeks into summer? What can’t you wait to get started on?
