Living In The Future

We should be living in the future.

I’m not talking about jet packs and the like. I’m talking about using the future as a motivating tool.

Today I wrote to my students, “Two weeks from now, the Aces Concert will be a memory!”

(Incidentally, come see us on May 29, in person or on YouTube livestream!)

The idea of having two weeks to shape the kind of memories I will have is a powerful one. Now I have 14 days to make sure that when I remember this event, I remember it well.

Live in the future, at least a little bit. It clarifies the present.
