Ensemble music teaches a lot of things.
But the most important lesson we can learn from ensemble music isn’t about music.
When we make music together, we learn to listen. We learn to hear what’s going around us, and to adapt our actions to enhance what we hear.
There can be no better lesson to carry into all the things we do in life than to listen, hear, and adapt.
