If You Know It, Share It

No point in keeping it to yourself.

Maybe it’s just because I’m a teacher, and maybe it’s because I’m the recipient of so much knowledge from those who came before me, and maybe it’s because I had to figure so much out for myself along the way. Regardless of why, I’ve come to this conclusion: if you know it, share it.

There is not a single “trade secret” in my domain knowledge. If I’ve learned something, I want to tell as many people as want to know it. That’s why I wrote my book and priced it to sell!

Repertoire, rehearsal tricks, theory knowledge, good resources: they are all for sharing. We’ll all do better if we share what we know and support each other.

(I’m writing this because I spent time today with an old friend and colleague who’s working on a book himself…I was able to freely share things I learned in my publication process. No point in not sharing everything I learned!
