If It Works

Here’s how to reflect at the end of a project.

If it works and it’s taking you the direction you want to go, do it again.

If it works but it’s not taking you the direction you want to go, pass it off to someone else.

If it doesn’t work but it’s going the direction you want to go, take the time to fix it and try again.

And if it both doesn’t work and takes you the wrong direction…just walk away.

If you’ve spent some time in creative project-based work, you’ve had projects in all four of those quadrants. Asking the questions and reflecting on the answers is the best way to take the right action when a project wraps up.
