Stop worrying so much about what you say.
What you teach is about so much more than the words you use. In the words of Carl Buehner,
They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel.

How many substantive lessons can your students carry away from your class? Five? Ten?
I have a small number of things I try to repeat enough to ensure they get through; the rest of the time, I’m just trying to make sure my students leave feeling like they were enjoying the process of growing as musicians. (Or as I like to say, “We Were Happy When We Were Here.”)
Learning happens when we are enjoying where we are. As a teacher, it’s my job to create that feeling.
