Learning is better with a fellow traveler.
We know this as educators – for all its challenges, teaching to a group is overall much more effective than tutoring an individual.
But I’m reminded of it again as I study Italian, alongside my wife and daughter.
The learning is better because there is a sense of camaraderie.
The learning is better because there is a sense of competition.
The learning is better because we can practice together.
The learning is better because we can express frustration together.
The learning is better because we can ask each other questions.
It’s just better to learn with a fellow traveler.
