How long do you write at a stretch?
More often than not, when I can carve out time to write music, I enter my studio with two things. A cup of tea and self-permission to leave when I finish the tea.
Do I go longer than that? Certainly, sometimes. If ideas are flowing, I’ll finish the tea and keep going. Do I finish early? If there’s tea in the mug, nope.
Of course, I drink tea daily, and my mug takes me just the right amount of time to finish. Find a habit that works for you for your own cup-of-tea creativity.
