I’m having my first formal interaction with students tonight.
To be clear, I am excited about this! We’re having our Retreat soon, and this is a great chance to get started on our musical journey.
But at the same time, it’s the final death knell of summertime, when I can direct my attention on other important things besides student interaction.
With that in mind, I scheduled the meetup at our local ice cream shop. Because hard things are better with ice cream. Actually, virtually everything is better with ice cream – hence my commitment to daily gelato when I take my choirs to Europe.
Doing something difficult? Make ice cream part of the equation. Things are better with ice cream.
