You’ll Never Be Done

This is the most hopeful warning to give to students heading into the world.

You’ll never be done learning your craft.

You’ll never be done fighting the good fight.

You’ll never be done rediscovering truths you thought you knew.

You’ll never be done trying to live up to your own teachers.

You’ll never be done meeting inspiring new people.

You’ll just never be done.

Maybe you would feel hopeless hearing that at 22. But to me, it’s incredibly hopeful to know that there is width and breadth to grow, improve, change, and make an impact – for as long as you care to do the work.
