It’s time to send yourself an email to arrive in July.
This is the time of year when you are able to see what worked and what didn’t, while you’re still in the middle of it. In the summer, this will all seem like a foggy memory – the struggles and the details will fade.
Now, then, is the best possible time to ask yourself, “What will I make different next year?”
Modern email interfaces like Gmail and Outlook have convenient “Delay Send’ features, allowing you to set a date and time to send an email.
So why not make a list of a few thing you want to make different next year, and send it to arrive when you can use it? I’m setting aside a few minutes next week to make a list that I’ll receive from myself in late July.
