What I Hope I’m Doing

I have given myself an extra 30-60 minutes a day this month by pre-writing all my posts. I hope I’ve been combining it with a summer “social media sabbatical” to find more time to do the things I want to prioritize this summer. That includes:

  • More family time – playing games, walking, cooking, laughing
  • More specific advanced planning for my ensembles and classes
  • More time spent thinking and dreaming
  • More books & poetry
  • More music I’ve never heard before
  • Mixing albums from Shades of Blue and The Rockford Aces
  • New writing for both of those ensembles
  • Recording with Mandy
  • More new music for my Patreon
  • Publishing my first book, Jazz Theory for Choral Musicians
  • Beginning work on my next book
  • Organizing, cleaning, and decluttering (my home, my office, my brain!)

If you see me at the end of the summer, ask me how it’s going!
