What Brings You Joy

Embrace what brings you joy.

Let’s celebrate the LEGO Renaissance.

You can make an argument that the resurgence of LEGO for adults is a marketing ploy, but what I see is adults finding joy in what used to bring them joy, before they “outgrew” it.

Even better, I’m watching my own kids, who “outgrew” the toys just a few years ago, already re-embracing them with more perspective, and enough self-knowledge to know why they want to spend time with them.

We walk away from the things that bring us joy for a lot of reasons: age, certainly, but also free time, self-judgement, expense, or availability. It’s a magical moment whenever we can return to those things that bring us joy and embrace them anew.
