What elevation is your timescale this month?
For me, it’s about 24 hours…along with a calendar that I can trust. But a month from now, I’m going to be able to have a totally different timescale, looking ahead months and beyond. (And looking backwards, too.)
When you’re in the midst of a busy season, you’re in a crowded subway train. You can only see what’s immediately ahead of you. When you have the space, you can hop in an elevator and spend some time in the observation platform at the Empire State Building – seeing miles in whatever direction you choose.
Don’t forget that the observation platform exists, even when you’re at your busiest. You might need to hop off the subway and head up there every once in a while. And don’t forget to take advantage of the views when you have the space; soon enough you’ll have to hop back on the subway.
