Still Learning

I am a work in progress. Well into my forties, I still learn how to do my work better every single week. I discover new approaches, new tools, new ideas.

I seek them.

It’s important to me that we make sure that this is the paradigm our students adopt: I learn because I’m human; I attend school for because it helps learning happen more efficiently.

Too many, I fear, feel like learning is something that is done to them until they get a paper that says they are done.

Schools are simply about efficiency of learning. If our students finish the school portion of their life and aren’t ready to embark on a life of learning more, than we have profoundly failed them.
