I have recently begun a new practice of posting my daily post early on Patreon. In terms of my writing work, there has been no change. At the moment, I write in the evenings, as my kids get ready for bed, or just after. (My practice changes over time, because I have learned to be always adaptable with my creative practice.)
Since I’m posting early, I just had to get a day ahead once, and then schedule each post for the following morning, before posting it immediately at Patreon.
That small shift has built a tremendous feeling of slack into my system. I feel such spaciousness, knowing that the words I’m writing today are for tomorrow, rather than for today.
It’s a tiny difference in practice, but a palpable difference in energy. Taking a tiny step to create spaciousness in life can multiply out into a deeply comforting feeling.
How else can I create more slack in my systems? How can you do the same?
