Being in a choir is more than singing together. It’s a family. It’s a community. It’s the best place I know to learn collaboration and trust.
Being in a choir is more than singing together, but I just know that the first time we can all sing together again, I will weep. It is without question at the core of what makes us human.
I will weep, and then I will sing together some more. I’ll want to sing together at parties, at dinners, at weddings, at funerals, at all the gatherings we have. Knowing what is missing makes it easier to see how I want to integrate it into everything I do.
Singing together is at the core of what makes us human. Maybe it takes an aerosolized pandemic to really understand that.
