One By One

Despite my best intentions, too often I still keep my to do list in my head. That can be a problem when the list of projects I’m carrying around gets too high. (And it often does…)

When I do, I think back to a kind note from my film scoring professor in grad school, when I emailed him underwater and behind on a project for his class. (It was scoring an excerpt of a Tom & Jerry cartoon.)

I don’t have the email anymore, but he essentially said, “Write down all the things you need to do. And then go after them like a hitman, one by one.”

The only way out is through. And you can only navigate through if you have a map.

Get them out of your head. And then get them done, one by one.
