I think creators would do well to make more things.
It’s the law of large numbers: you make more excellent work if you make more work.
Write more bars. Shape more paragraphs. Practice more scales. Paint more canvases.
Will a lot of that work be less than your best? Sure! But the list of really excellent things you’ve made will also grow faster. *
I’m not afraid of making bad work; bad work is guaranteed. I’m much more afraid of making no work.
* You’ll also get better at your craft…so the percentage of your work that’s excellent might go up, too!
