It’s okay to end your day telling yourself “I’ll try again tomorrow.”
Part of striving means coming up short. Setbacks are a part of growth.
There’s simply no way to develop without falling down once in a while. That’s why we used to laugh and clap when our toddlers fell down as they learned to walk. We celebrate the failures and then we get back up.
For me, on tough days, that looks like honest self-appraisal and then grace.
I came up short.
I’ll try again tomorrow.
