Recognize your own creative strengths and weaknesses, and work to appreciate the different perspectives other people bring.
I spent part of the evening with two people with very keen visual-creative minds. They both thought in terms of color, light, composition, and so on.
I just don’t see the world that way. While I am a capable graphic artist, and certainly do more than my share of visually creative work, It doesn’t come naturally. Other creative perspectives do come more naturally, or perhaps I’ve just put in more effort to acquire them.
Regardless, it’s a pleasure to be around people who see the world with different eyes than your own, and to be able to say “I’ll never be able to see the world that way.” And say it with joy, because those different perspectives make the world a richer and more beautiful place.
