Gamification isn’t the only way to inspire students to pursue meaningful growth.
We’re in an era of gamifying eduction, where we create circumstances where learning feels like gaming. Think Duolingo.
But there’s an equally compelling way to get students to learn; call it Engagifying.
If you can engage people in the subject matter; if you can convince them of the value of their growth; if you can create an environment that puts a value on learning (rather than on succeeding…).
If you can engage students, there is no stopping their growth. Will it be clear, linear, measurable, repeatable? Nope. It will be surprising, inconsistent, individual, and it will create lasting change in the people who learn that way.
