Announcing my new arrangement of “From The Start” available today!
Most of my students seem to adore Laufey and her approach to vocal style. I thought her bossa “From The Start” would make a fun vocal chart, so I pulled it together over Christmas break for Shades of Blue. The chart is just three pages – perfect for a quick read and straightforward learning process. It could be extended to include improvisation or stay as written, following Laufey’s form.
The voicing is SATB (no divisi, no solos) and includes fully notated piano, bass, and drum set. In addition, I wrote optional string quartet parts if you’ve got musicians you want to collaborate with.
