The musical In The Heights prominently features the beautiful ballad “Everything I Know” (cut from the movie).
She would stare at the paper and tell me,
“Bueno,
Let’s review.
Why don’t you tell me everything you know?”
Putting aside the impossibility of telling everything you know, there’s a lot to be said for trying.
Every year, I hope to tell my students everything I know – and then figure out some new things, and tell them those, too.
Every day, I hope to write a little more of what I know on this website or in my book. Sharing that knowledge helps it go farther.
The beauty of education is to acquire knowledge.
The beauty of acquiring knowledge is that you can share it. Nothing held back. Everything you know.
