Call Me in a Month

If you insist that you can’t do something, I’m going to insist that we don’t say “can’t.” [*]

Then I’m going to insist that you call me in a month.

Call me in a month, after you’ve tried every day to do that something. Call me in a month after you’ve really committed to trying without fear of failure.

Call me in a month, and I’m pretty sure you’re going to call and say one of these three things:

  1. I did it!
  2. I made enough progress to know that I’ll be able to do it someday, even though I’m currently unable to do it.
  3. I found out that I don’t really want to do it, after all.

[*]  We say, “currently unable”.
