Best Way To Find New Repertoire

One of the best ways to find new repertoire is one that didn’t exist not too long ago.

I love to see the programs posted online by the colleagues I most respect. The repertoire they’re programming is, by definition, the repertoire I want to program, and while not everything they choose will be perfect for me right now, it saves me a ton of deep dives to find repertoire, by narrowing my search.

The Jazz Educators Network Annual Conference is happening right now, and I’m not there – that used to be the only way to get the programs. But now I’m taking advantage of their online posts to discover new things to program.

(PS: That’s why I’ve post my annual repertoire lists for the last seven years. I think a website that just offered annual repertoire lists would be a great resource for colleagues.)
