Being What They Need

Teaching isn’t shaping minds.

It’s shaping yourself. You shape yourself, every day, into what your student need in order to become the best version of themselves. You lift them up, cajole them, support them, tutor them, mentor them, guide them, coach them, prod them, and most of all listen to them. All by adapting your behavior to suit the student needs of the moment.

Yes, your internal compass always points north. Your values remain. But how you pursue north, how you teach, depends entirely on what they need.
