Before Starting A Big Project

Starting a small project is relatively straightforward. Ask yourself, “What do I need to do?” Then start to do it.

Starting a big project is different, because a big project almost always includes something you’ve never done before.

Before starting a big project ask yourself, “What do I need to learn how to do?”

This type of project is the best, because it offers the opportunity for growth and development. But it also requires a timeframe that will allow for you to learn those new skills.

I’m dancing around a big project right now – something that will require big new skills. Right now, all I’m doing is making that list of things I need to learn how to do.

The actual project will be much easier if I’ve got that list at the start.
