In this quote, John Green is describing being captivated with the beauty of an oak leaf, thanks to his young child. Children are great at getting us to see again the beauty of the everyday.
But I hope, and I try, to keep seeing the beauty of the world, even when there isn’t a toddler to show it to me. We seem to lose our sense of wonder, of marvel, as we experience more; but the beauty doesn’t change–what changes is how we look.
