Not many words today, just urging you to watch this early TED Talk from the polymath and curiosity incarnate Clifford Stoll. His talk is a perfect model of how making curiosity the ground of your work takes you in fascinating directions. The quote I chose to highlight above comes from the last part of his talk, when he talks about how he’s begun teaching eighth grade science in a local school. He takes the position, correct in my opinion, that for most things we feel strongly about, the best strategy is to make a difference right in front of us.
