You do best when you find your own little corner to flourish in: one that supports the work you do.
I live in a community near a lake – a lake artificially engineered to have as many lakefront homes as possible. It’s a network of coves, bays, and curves from one side to the other. (A little like a mini-fjord.)
Life is a little like that lake: there are many places to reach the water. Maybe you think of pursuing a career in your chosen field as either being in the desert or on an ocean beach; but the truth is that there are many little corners with a lake access. There are many ways to make a living in what you love and have a little lakefront.
Find a corner that works for you and appreciate it.
