Great works of art are always worth the wait.
Michelangelo’s David will impress when you get to Florence – no matter how long you’ve waited.
Same with the Mona Lisa, the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower. The Real Group live.
In all cases, you can get a sense from other media – photos, models, recordings.
In my experience, the actual art is worth the wait, and oftentimes dwarfs the previews you’d gotten. (Literally dwarfs, in the case of David!)
What’s on your in-person art bucket list? What have you already seen that lived up to the hype?
