Choirs should travel. This week, I’m making a list of the reasons why.
It’s good for your program.
A choir tour is great for the whole choir program – including the singers who go on the tour and those who don’t.
Why? Here are just some of the reasons.
- Publicity. This can be a great way to get the word out about your choir!
- Growth. This can be a way to get interested kids to join or stay in choir.
- Excellence. The tour experience will leave your traveling students excited about making great music, and ready to inspire their neighbors.
- Fundraising. The infrastructure you build to fundraise for a tour can easily be repurposed to future fundraising for your overall program.
In short, everyone benefits when you plan and execute aspirational travel with your choir.
