What’s Simple Was Difficult

I love how the combination of effort, passion, and time can forge new strength. And like every musician I know, I have always focused on my weaknesses, not my strengths – because that’s what I need to spend time on. But it’s worth reflecting, when the time is right, on how far you’ve come.

Make a list of things you’re great at that were difficult in the past. One year. Five years. Ten.

What’s simple now was difficult then. That’s a great thing to reflect on as the school year wraps up. It’s true for students, but it’s true for the people who teach them, too.
