There is an inevitability to the busiest concert days that you’ll forget something. Whether it’s my friend who had to buy new concert attire this afternoon because he left his at home, too far to get back, or the simple failure to acknowledge an important person from the stage during a concert.
Rather than simply repeat, “I won’t forget anything,” I ask myself: what will I forget? If I take the time to focus on those things I’m most likely to overlook, I feel more confident going into the day, and it feels more likely that I’ll forget fewer things along the way.
I’m still going to get to the end of the Aces Concert tomorrow night and realize I’ve forgotten something, but I’m certain that without this mantra I’d forget even more.
