What part of the wedding party do you want to emulate as a leader?
Bride/Groom – the day’s all about them, the pictures all center them, the gifts are all for them.
Best Man/Maid of Honor – they facilitate the day, draw attention in certain moments, but mostly defer attention to the B/G.
Wedding Planner – work ahead of time to plan every detail, be invisible and indispensable on the day itself.
Officiant – take care of the official business of the day.
Attendee – have no responsibilities except to celebrate B/G, and don’t do anything to draw focus away from them.
