When you see a master teacher at work, it can look like magic. The artistry of a brilliant conductor can seem so seamless and effortless that it’s unreachable. Great teachers work smoothly to teach at many levels at once, without breaking a sweat.
When you see that happen, remember what my friend Renee says: the magic is learned.
Hermione Granger didn’t start out the most brilliant witch of her generation. Even actual magic is learned – ideally at Hogwarts. But the same is true for any skill honed to the point of magic: it got there through hard work, study, and practice.
The magic is learned.
