Spring Break Watch #2 – New York Voices

Spring Break is a great time to catch up.

One thing you could do is remember that the internet is a repository of all sorts of “long-form” video as well…and maybe you have time to watch some of it now! Over this Spring Break, I’ll be recommending some amazing concert videos that are well-worth your time.

Today: The New York Voices with the Dutch Metropole Orchestra (2001)

New York Voices had gone through various personnel changes in the mid-’90s, but by 2001 they were hitting on all cylinders, having recently released both their Paul Simon album and their big band album Sing! Sing! Sing!

Hearing them live is always inspiring (I’ve had students weeping for joy after concerts) and as they approach their last year touring, those opportunities will keep getting rarer. Thank goodness for videos like this!
