This is just a reminder that SINGING is a birthright of all humans.
Sing daily.
Especially, I send this reminder to those people accustomed to singing communally every day. You might find yourself in withdrawal of those moments joined in song, and while singing by yourself will feel different than singing in the choir, it will help fill that blank space. It will.
Sing daily – in the shower, of course, but on your walk through the neighborhood, and along with your favorite records, and with your kids. Sing with your mic muted in a Zoom meeting! Sing your way through the (now extra-stressful) trip to the grocery store.
Sing daily. Your life will be better for it.
(And read these great new words from our greatest living expert on communal and individual singing, the inimitable Alice Parker.)
