Let’s connect at the MSVMA Summer Conference!
I haven’t attended since 2019, but before that I was one of the coordinators and planners of the Summer Conference. In that capacity, I had a front row seat to see how this summer gathering made a difference in Michigan choral music educators’ lives.
It’s a better place to connect and talk than MMC. It’s a more focused conference to our needs. It’s where I found the strongest sense of community and fellowship with my fellow MSVMA members.
In short, I think it’s a fantastic conference. It runs July 31 and August 1 at the Lansing Center. It’s not too late to register and attend, and it’s close enough for many educators to commute! You can register easily onsite.
I hope to see you there, and to connect or reconnect.
I’ll be presenting two sessions on Wednesday July 31:
9:50-10:35 All-State Jazz Choir Information & Reading Session
4:00-5:00 Why, What, How? Removing the Barriers to Programming Vocal Jazz for Your Concert Choir
