I’m trying to make better use of Schedule Send in my email client. Here are a few ways I’m using the feature.
- Avoid work emails outside of work time. Just because I’m working on a Saturday evening doesn’t mean you have to be. I’ll schedule send those emails for Monday morning just in case you’re getting email notifications.
- Audition information. I send out a 24-hour prepared piece for Shades of Blue auditions. Those are all now scheduled well in advance, so I don’t have to be on call 24 hours ahead of audition windows.
- Looking way ahead. I was thinking about the 2025-26 calendar the other day, but emailing now would be completely ineffective; it’ll be long forgotten by the time of the calendar meeting next spring. But an email written now and sent on April 1 gets it out of my head and into an inbox at the right time.
