Those are the hallmarks of a final concert, to me. The joy is in a little bit of predictability – the routine makes the goodbye a little more real, and a little easier to handle.
Traditions are tricky, because it’s easy to overload on them (“do things twice, they’re a tradition!”) but they really are a great way to punctuate the year and help the transitions.
