The best leaders I know lead like conductors.
If the word leadership did not exist, what alternative word would you use?

The word I would choose to replace leader is conductor.
Think about it:
- A conductor brings diverse people together for a common goal.
- A conductor has a vision for the final product, but others execute it.
- A conductor shapes the performance without making a sound herself.
